Texas Tech rolls over visiting Oral Roberts

There was no sign of a hangover for Texas Tech on Monday.Six days after struggling offensively in a loss to Texas A&M, the Red Raiders rattled and hummed against Oral Roberts on the way to an 86-50, wire-to-wire rout in Lubbock.Ignited by Federiko Federiko and Chance McMillian, Texas Tech bolted to a 10-0 lead before the game was three minutes old and never let up on the way to a 37th consecutive nonconference home win.That tandem scored all of the first 10 points to set the tone. Federiko finished with a season-best 23 points and 12 rebounds, while McMillian tallied 20 points and dished out five assists. Those two combined to knock down 19-of-22 floor shots between them to buoy a 53.1 percent shooting night for (34 of 64) the Red Raiders.JoJo Moore led the Golden Eagles (3-8) with 19 points and was the only ORU player who connected on more than three field goals. Leading scorer Isaac McBride was limited to a season-low six points and missed 12 of 14 shots on a night when the Golden Eagles shot a frosty 34 percent (18 of 53) and made only 7 of 25 from beyond the 3-point arc.The Red Raiders (8-2) had the game in control by halftime with a 41-19 advantage. They logged 15 assists on 17 made shots and got 29 points from McMillian and Federiko. Darrion Williams notched six of his game-high nine assists in the first half.
